Created for the premiere of the Netflix documentary 'Jeen-Yuhs' documenting the early career, rise and fall of Kanye West. Made in collaboration with Family Ltd. and Top Ten creatives agencies.

The objective of the piece was to recreate the rough narrative of the documentary, whilst deconstructing the visuals into a mood piece. Supplementary animation work was done to bring the individual frames to life.

The piece played back across various analogue monitor banks situated around the venue of the premiere - the largest of which (4 screens by 5) played back the piece in full - with the footage stylized to lean into the video-tape aesthetic, from where much of the older documentary footage is derived.

The video shows the piece in full, as it appears prior to being ported to the individual installation screens.

The images are courtesy of the Instagram page of Family Ltd, showing the piece as it appeared on the various monitor banks in situ.
