Jennifer O'Connor - Pretty Girls

Music video I directed and animated with mixed media techniques for Jennifer O'Connor's track 'Pretty Girls' from her album Born at the Disco. 

The concept was driven by her idea for the song, in her words :

"“Pretty Girls” is an exploration of societal and familial expectations that implies many questions. What does it mean to be a woman?  What kind of woman is the right kind of woman?  What qualities give a person value? Is it possible to outrun or dissolve the specter of expectation?"
