Skytop Garden

This is the OFFICIAL unofficial lyric video for JAWNY's 2018 single, skytop garden. I was commissioned by TheMortalCo. (a design agency) to conceptualize a lyric video for this song. 

The song's nature is steady, flowy and dreamy. Thus. I decided of using clouds as my main video footage as clouds complement the song with their slow morphing. The primary font choice (a classic old English variant), was inspired by the song itself. The song is about two lovers. Their relationship seems to be normal except the female partner appears to have to toil for her lover's affection "seven bills just to be in your sheets on my knees beggin' please".

The entry motion graphic (two people reaching out to each other) is a reference to the male partner. Although he doesn't seem to show it, he adores his lover. Without her, good things don't seem to be worthwhile "cast your light I only see it when she's near".
