The concept for the video came from a love of the static photograph. I love how images can be sources of reflection, nostalgia and ambiguity.
Growing up, we used to have a 35 mm projector at home. I used to find the whole experience so magical and tactile. When I found an original 90s version on ebay I knew it needed to feature in the video.

I loved the idea of the music itself having the power to bring Isabel to life and break through the picture. As she performs in her own wonderland, her partner's remains locked in that moment only breaking the illusion through a blink or a glance.

Shooting on 16mm film was a no-brainer and felt like the perfect medium for the concept, keeping it all within the same analog world.
