Mad Lord - Samurai of 1000 deaths

Mad Lord - samurai of 1000 deaths is the brainchild of Director Samuel Smith, directly inspired by Akira Kurosawa's filmography and is an epic period drama short film, produced over 18 months and released in autumn 2019.

I was closely involved in the production, having worked frequently with Samuel for years now assisting him on many shoots for corporate and commercial. I helped with the set-up for the shoot, prepping the set's with the Art Director, generally assisting Sam and the Producer, and was present on set as the DIT. When we wrapped I was first to go through the footage and make assembly edits for Samuel to go through.

A hugely ambitious film but one we were all proud to make.
