PLAN B: CITY OF DEPARTURE
Human migration is an essentially spatial phenomenon. The undergoing massive exodus of Venezuelan citizens is transforming fundamental aspects of our cities and way of life, leaving behind a void with which we are obligated to coexist, a void that assumes multiple forms (from fear and anxiety to expectation and opportunity), a void that is continuously reconfigured and transformed out of what is left behind and with those left behind. In its first presentation in Caracas in February 2019, the project Plan B: Caracas, Departure City aims at creating a series of spatial installations and performances that evidence some of the multiple manifestations of this void, its characters and possibilities.
