Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Package

Design for the slipcase back, jackets and booklet for Vault #49: Bootleg Series Vol. 16; a collection of Bob Dylan's outtakes, mixes, and demos spanning from 1980-1985.

For this project, I was given a huge folder of archival photos and ephemera from the era that needed to be sorted by year and turned into collaged album jackets. I created a visual language of "liner notes" to reflect the work-in-progress feel of the songs; as Dylan would constantly work and re-work his own tunes.

Working with Sony, I added a back to the previously designed slipcase cover and prepared everything for print production. The booklet was also designed with a custom endpaper pattern using both the Third Man logo and an archival Sony logo.
