THE WHITELOCK EXPERIENCE ALBUM DESIGN

Problem: Musician, Ash Whitelock, approached me to collaborate on an album cover design, that would transport listeners back into the 80’s! Being an 80’s child (just), I jumped at the chance!

Approach: 80’s music artwork is drenched in chrome and neon, but the overall style cannot be applied with just a few simple photoshop actions. After settling on a suitable composition, I took to carefully, applied the individual, hand drawn, chrome reflections. This is also detailed right down the subtle cloud reflections that you can see in each letter.

Result: A blast from the past that had me browsing online for ‘leopard print xl man spandex’!.
