Paul Ward- Paintings

Painted works dealing heavily with semiotics, using symbols and familiar imagery to convey an underlying message. These paintings have a mix of doodles, scrawling and text layered into them to create texture and the feeling that there is something more than just the surface appearance.

This use of covert imagery allows the message of albums and songs to be included within an album artwork, without saturating the image and allowing the focus to remain on the music itself.
