"Wield" - Empowered Woman Collage Art

This design is an attempt at portraying the power that an individual holds in their direct control. Like most of my designs that involve people, I naturally tend to use models from different ethnic backgrounds to show the universality of the messages of my work. “Wield” shows a woman in a clearly empowered position as demonstrated by the effect of the viewer looking up at her. The holding of the moon in the woman’s hand is symbolic of the power that she carries in her control, being able to make the impossible possible. The background in the original image was removed, and the blue sky in the background was added for a minimalistic, calming effect on the image, further amplifying the boldness of the woman.
