"Gasping For More" Emotional Digital Collage

This design is an attempt at portraying the feeling grief and loneliness, reaching out for one last touch at something that has left us. I decided to portray this feeling through this image in various parts: the purple waters in which the person is drowning represents the chaotic atmosphere that one can feel engulfing them during grief, the black and white hand represents a feeling of lifelessness, the red leaves in the background representing the idea of things traditionally known to be beautiful having turned into chaotic, uncertain versions of themselves, and the dry planet above the hand representing the treasured object/person who was once in our access but no longer is.
