The Every Day Installation
Work produced during a Regent Park Film Festival WorkshopMade possible with funding from the Artists in Community and Collaboration grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.
The Every Day, a grounding anchor, a commitment to explore the rich stories and magic that hide justunderneath the surface of the faces, places and routines we encounter on a daily basis. This theme was explored in a 10 session workshop, where nine participants from St. Michael’s Hospital’sSTAR Learning Centre in Regent Park, worked with our facilitators Gabriel Emmis and artist in residence Anna Maguire to take pictures, tell stories and develop this video piece.
Accompanying this are photographs taken by the participants, and a book that brings together more photographs and stories that flowed out through the first 5 weeks.
