Offsafety X Aaliyah - Apparel Design

A while back I was sent a collection of Aaliyah contact sheets by legendary early 90's hip hop photographer's Eddie Otchere and Paul Chan, I was asked to create a range of clothing using these photos. This was the first time I had done any kind of apparel design but it was such a great process, seeing these contact sheets of Aaliyah was so cool and we collabarated and come up with some designs that wewere really happy with. I was handed other photos of Nas, snoop dog, biggie and tonnes of others to develop more designs for after this range was released.

The Aaliyah X OffSafety collection seemed to go down really well, they sold old of all tees at ComplexCon and subsequently online, they then shipped out some to Urban Outfitters stores across america too, all approved and supported from the aaliyah estate.
