Time Travels Memories
“Tracks like Worotan by Oumou Sangare transport me to a realm where genres like funk, jungle, and grime merge with minimal classical nuances. These influences are the pillars of this album.” — Sampha
‘LAHAI: Time Travels Memories’ is a visual poem to accompany Sampha’s latest album. Sampha wrote the film, and co-directed with British-Nigerian film-maker, Caleb Femi.
Featuring words by Sampha, Kadialy Kouyate, Yaeji, Sheila Maurice Grey, and Elsa Hackett.
Filmed at Ramaz Studios in London.
Basketball Metamorphosis
The McGloughlin Brothers are back and sitting courtside in their latest campaign for the NBA on ESPN. An original score accompanies the spellbinding film created by composer, Nathan Micay.

Wearable, Adaptable, & Flexible
Adobe has premiered Project Primrose, an animated interactive dress that can change its design instantly in real-time. In a style more familiar to an iPhone demo than a traditional catwalk, the dress’ creator and designer, Christine Dierk, runs through its capabilities and what’s in store for the future of fashion.
Premiered at Adobe MAX 2023 in Los Angeles.
Recent advances in smart materials have enabled displays to move beyond planar surfaces into the fabric of everyday life. It is a low-power non-emissive material that can be cut to any shape and dynamically diffuses light.
A Heavyweight Title
Courtney Phillips directs the explosive ‘Pepper’ for Flowdan, Skrillex and Lil Baby.
The release is rumoured to be tied to the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou heavyweight championship match. With even Cristiano Ronaldo taking some time out from Al-Nassr to make an appearance in the film.
Produced by London Alley.
End of the Red Envelope Era
On September 29th Netflix posted its final physical DVD to subscribers (yes, they still did that). Felipe Lima was tasked with paying tribute to the red envelope that kickstarted the company 25 years ago, and has served as the foundation for the Netflix we all know today.
In 2012, Netflix’s DVD business was earning more than $1 billion in revenue, but by 2022 it had fallen to $146 million, a number close to only breaking even.
