New Tricks for Bonobo

Irish directing-duo The McGloughlin Brothers create this mesmerising zoetrope throughout Portugal, captured from a train window on a journey from Faro to Lisbon to Porto.

The video pays homage and builds upon Michel Gondry’s iconic Star Guitar for the Chemical Brothers, made twenty years previous.

Bonobo has a rich history of collaboration with visual artists and directors to create mind-blowing videos, here’s three of the best:

No Reason (2017)

Oscar Hudson, known for his distinct creative style, defies the laws of physics with this impossible multi-room one-take, captured completely in-camera.

Kerala (2017)

Dave Bullivant conjures a hypnotic feeling of paranoia. The effect is achieved using a looped edit that slowly rocks forward against the track and Gemma Arterton’s performance.

Cirrus (2013)

Cyriak is a British animator known for his surreal and bizarre web animations. You may of seen the bovine choreography of Cows & Cows & Cows when it broke the internet over a decade ago.
