Independent soul singer [ARTIST] is due to release her next single in 2 weeks, on March 10th, and needs a music video to accompany the track during the release.
She has a location and a few ideas in mind and also access to the location for a site visit.
Acantha about the song
The song is called [TRACK]. It's all about going through dark times, feeling on edge... but somehow in the end you find the strength to stand up, fight, keep on! My music career started as a Blues singer so I reference a few lyrics from blues songs and names of blues artists (don't look down at the Muddy Waters....I can Smell The Trouble...)
Also, rivers are very prominent in African American folklore - they are used for positive imagery like baptisms and saving one's soul and also very dark connotations like the use of the Missississippi river during the slave trade in the deep south of America. There are so many iconic Soul songs that feature lyrics about the river... Sam Cooke... Change gonna come (I was born by the river.. in a little tent)
And to also add... as you know the devastating Hurricanes in New Orleans have made the Missississippi river overflow and flood the city so many times.
My poor momma lost everything in three hurricanes in her lifetime... so I based the song's concept on this as well ..."The river keep runnin' bringin trouble to me"
But the overall gist of the song is the river and rain being a metaphor for the troubles we all face in life and how it affects our mental health, etc.
The budget is open for negotiation.
Please only submit an application if you can deliver the video for the track's release date.
