Vieux Farka Touré is a well respected Malian guitarist, known as the 'Hendrix of the Sahara'. He is also the son of the late great Desert Blues pioneer Ali Farka Touré. On his new album 'Les Racines' (meaning 'the roots'), Vieux is going back to the magical Songhai music of Northern Mali (the 'Desert Blues') in the footsteps of his father.
