Horsemeat - Bring It Down

"The song was inspired by a story of when I was out one night in Lincoln and was getting the eye from these couple of girls (back when I was desirable). Later on she came over when I was at the bar and pinched my arse and asked me to kiss her friend. I wasn’t drunk enough at that point to do that, so said something like “later maybe”, you know, being cool. Unbeknownst to me the one who did the pinching had a bruiser of a boyfriend who caught the tail end of this when I walked away, leaving a mate at the bar in my place, he mistook him for me and started smacking shit out of him."

Band ideas

I think we go down the route of stock footage of glitzy bars, people drinking, very Hale - then intercut us in a bar and flash frames of fighting and late night violence. And have words come up “Join us…”, “be one of us”, “Obey” Like Kylie’s Confide In Me video.

Treatment
Utilising Stock footage due to £0 budget I was able to create a sense of the average night out in any British City or Town, intercut with animal "representations" of when a Saturday night inevitably turns sour... This is also reflected in the Obelisk, a nod to 2001 A Space Odyssey.
